Expedier Records $150M Transaction Volume Milestone
Cross-border payment platform Expedier processed more than $150 million in transaction volume during FY2025, demonstrating significant growth as businesses and individuals increasingly adopted the service for international money transfers.
The fintech company expanded its user base to over 200,000 customers during the same period, with more than 70,000 monthly active users. The platform maintained an average monthly growth rate of 23.8%, indicating both new user acquisition and deeper engagement from existing customers.
CEO Highlights Platform Evolution
Kingsley Madu, Chief Executive Officer of Expedier, emphasized the company's problem-solving approach to international payments challenges.
"Our focus has always been on solving a real problem—cross-border payments that are too slow, too expensive, and too unpredictable. What we are seeing now is a shift from occasional usage to consistent reliance, as more users make Expedier part of how they move money across borders."
The platform has observed a notable shift in user behavior patterns. Customers increasingly rely on Expedier for recurring payments rather than one-off transactions, indicating stronger retention and more consistent platform usage.
Global Corridor Expansion Strategy
Expedier currently supports transactions across multiple regions including Africa, the SEPA region in Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and parts of Asia. The company targets high-friction remittance corridors where traditional payment systems often prove costly or slow.
This strategic focus positions Expedier as an infrastructure layer for international money movement, particularly serving users underserved by legacy financial systems. The approach aligns with growing demand for efficient digital payment solutions across emerging markets.
Cost and Speed Improvements Drive Adoption
The platform delivered significant cost and speed improvements during FY2025. Users experienced up to 20% lower fees compared to traditional remittance channels, while transactions in select corridors processed in real-time or near-instantly where supported.
Transfer costs reached as low as $2.99, with some routes offering completely free transfers depending on the corridor. These efficiencies contribute to more predictable and accessible payment experiences, particularly benefiting users making frequent international transfers.
Financial Inclusion and Future Plans
As transaction activity increases, Expedier begins playing a broader role in building user financial visibility. Consistent transaction histories and usage patterns contribute to more reliable financial profiles, particularly valuable in markets where formal credit systems remain limited.
The company plans to deepen its presence in existing corridors while expanding into new routes where cross-border payments remain inefficient. Expedier intends to continue infrastructure investments to improve speed, reliability, and cost efficiency as transaction volumes scale.
This growth trajectory reflects broader trends in financial technology innovation across Africa and global emerging markets, where traditional banking infrastructure often fails to meet cross-border payment demands efficiently.
