The TechTrendi Story

🤔

The problem we kept running into

Finding reliable, straightforward tech information should not be this difficult. Too many websites bury useful advice under layers of ads, affiliate promotions, and rewritten press releases. Genuine product reviews are rare. Practical security guidance is even rarer. We saw a gap between what people needed and what the internet was offering — and we decided to fill it.

So we built TechTrendi

TechTrendi launched with a clear mission: make technology accessible to Ghanaians and Africans through content that reflects their context. Since 2016, we have built a platform that covers Ghana tech news, daily Africa-focused stories, scam awareness for the African market, 130+ free tools (including MoMo fee calculators, Ghana electricity calculators, and scam pattern checkers), and honest reviews — all priced and explained for African readers. Our content is built for Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and the wider continent — not retrofitted from American or European sources.

Where things are now

Today, TechTrendi serves readers across the globe with over 200 in-depth articles, 130+ free online tools, daily tech news coverage, and a growing library of product reviews. Our content spans 12 categories — from cybersecurity and AI to smartphones and productivity — and we publish fresh content every day. We are committed to remaining free, independent, and genuinely useful.

What I Write About

These are the topics I keep coming back to — the stuff I'm genuinely interested in and know well.

Artificial Intelligence

I test and review AI tools so you do not have to waste time on the ones that do not deliver.

Cybersecurity

Passwords, VPNs, phishing scams — I break down what you actually need to do to stay safe online.

Productivity

Apps and workflows that genuinely save time — not the kind that add more complexity to your day.

Digital Economy

Smart income strategies, remote work tips, and digital business skills — things I have tried or thoroughly researched.

Smartphones & Gadgets

Honest phone comparisons, spec breakdowns, and 'should I upgrade?' advice from someone who actually cares about the details.

Daily Tech News

The tech stories that actually matter, published daily. No clickbait headlines, just what is worth knowing.

Tech should not be confusing — and good advice should not cost you anything.

Whether you are picking your next phone, setting up a VPN, trying out an AI tool, or exploring digital skills — I have probably written about it. And if I have not, let me know.

I run this site because I genuinely enjoy helping people make sense of technology. That's it.

Our Principles

Our Values

Accuracy First

I double-check specs, prices, and claims before hitting publish. If I get something wrong, I fix it.

Written for Real People

I write the way I talk. If my mom cannot understand it, it is not ready to publish.

Honest Recommendations

Nobody pays me to recommend anything. If I suggest a tool or product, it is because I have used it myself.

Free by Default

Everything on this site — articles, tools, guides — is free. That is not changing.
