Bitnob Expands Infrastructure Offerings with Enterprise Platform
African fintech company Bitnob has unveiled Bitnob Enterprise, a non-custodial infrastructure platform designed for organizations seeking blockchain capabilities while maintaining control over their custody architecture. The platform represents a strategic expansion of the company's offerings beyond its consumer-focused roots.
The new Enterprise solution allows organizations to build on Bitnob's existing wallets, payments, treasury, settlement, and blockchain infrastructure without surrendering control of critical business functions. This approach addresses growing demand from institutions that want blockchain capabilities without outsourcing key operational elements.
From Consumer App to Enterprise Infrastructure
Bitnob initially launched publicly in 2021 as a consumer Bitcoin application. The infrastructure developed to power its consumer products gradually attracted business interest, prompting the company to expand into wallets-as-a-service, payments, stablecoin settlement, collections, payouts, and card infrastructure.
Bernard Parah, Founder and CEO of Bitnob, explained the rationale behind the Enterprise platform launch. "The next generation of financial institutions will not outsource the things that define them, including how assets are secured, how risk is managed, how their customers are served," Parah stated.
"Enterprise gives them the infrastructure layer underneath Bitnob without asking them to give up control." - Bernard Parah, Founder and CEO of Bitnob
Technical Capabilities and Target Market
The Enterprise platform supports non-custodial deployment through external key management systems including Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and third-party signing systems. Organizations retain control over treasury operations, approval workflows, transaction policies, compliance frameworks, and security measures.
The platform targets banks, regulated financial institutions, fintech companies, treasury teams, and developers building infrastructure-intensive financial products. For new market entrants, Enterprise provides a pathway to launch digital asset products without investing years in internal blockchain infrastructure development.
Business Platform Receives Major Upgrades
Alongside the Enterprise launch, Bitnob has introduced significant upgrades to Bitnob Business, its managed platform first launched in 2022. The enhanced platform features improved stablecoin swap capabilities, including USDT-to-USDC conversion functionality.
The updated Business platform extends off-ramp coverage to more than 110 countries while expanding on-ramp coverage. These improvements complement the existing managed infrastructure approach for businesses prioritizing simplicity and speed over operational control.
Dual-Track Strategy for Market Expansion
The two platforms represent distinct pathways into Bitnob's infrastructure ecosystem. The Business platform caters to organizations seeking managed solutions with reduced operational complexity, while Enterprise targets institutions requiring granular control over their digital asset operations.
This dual approach reflects Bitnob's recognition of divergent customer needs in the evolving digital asset landscape. The company has observed growing interest in secure infrastructure solutions that balance innovation with institutional requirements for control and compliance.
The Enterprise platform launch positions Bitnob to capture demand from larger financial institutions entering the digital asset space while maintaining its managed service offerings for smaller organizations and those prioritizing rapid deployment over operational control.
